Racing Driver. That’s always been the only thing that mattered for Mick. There was never a plan B for the son of Corinna and Michael Schumacher, born on 22 March 1999. His toys were go-karts and mini-quads, his playground were the kart tracks in Germany and Europe.

His sporting biography is nothing other than an education to become a racing driver:

  • In 2014, he came second in karting in the World, European and German Junior Championships.
  • In 2015, Mick switched to formula racing and drove for the Van Amersfoort Racing team in the German Formula 4 Championship. In 2016, now with Prema Powerteam, he finished second overall in both the German and Italian F4 championships.
  • With Prema Racing, Mick became European Formula 3 Champion in 2018 and FIA Formula 2 Champion in 2020.

In 2021 and 2022, Mick competed for the Haas F1 Team in the FIA Formula One World Championship.

In 2023 he is a reserve driver for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team.

In 2024, he is a reserve driver for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team, as he was in 2023. Mick will also be competing in the FIA Word Endurance Championship (WEC) for the first time, in car #36 with the Alpine Elf Endurance Team.
